STT550 Tilt - / inclination angle sensor

About the product

The STT550 is a sealed (IP69K) tilt sensor designed to provide reliable measurement of inclination angle, a "fit-and-forget" inclinometer, extremely compact housing, for the most demanding operating environments. Suitable for use in applications such as cranes, elevators, vehicles, container handling and ships and offshore vessels where accurate angle measurement is required.

The STT500 uses solid state 3D-MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) technology to measure the sensor's inclination relative to the earth's gravity. The STT500 has a choice of measurement ranges from ±10°, ±20°, ±30° and ±60° and provides a 0.5 to 4.5Vdc output signal over this range, with a nominal 2.5Vdc at 0° tilt. By using this technology, the STT500 provides distinct advantages in reliability, stability and compactness over fluid based, electrolytic and pendulum operated sensors.

The STT500 can operate from a 5Vdc regulated or 8-30Vdc unregulated supply.
