Distance sensors of the IW00016x series work according to the principle of the inductive oscillator sensor. The output signal is proportional to a measuring distance of 2..6mm. Approvals from classification societies available.
Measuring principle: The level change of the oscillator is converted into an analog 4..20mA or 0.5...4.5V signal.
Advantage: Due to the robust design, use under rough environmental conditions is possible.
