Dual Redundancy Rotary Position Sensor P509

About the product

The P509 Dual Redundancy Rotary Position Sensor provides built-in position feedback through two independent position measurements from a single rotary position sensor. Both sensing channels operate separately while sharing a common shaft. If one channel develops a fault, the second channel can continue to provide position feedback

This makes the sensor suitable for systems where redundancy is required for safety, reliability or operational continuity. It can also reduce the risk associated with a single sensing channel in installations where replacing a faulty unit would be difficult, disruptive or costly.

  • Dual redundancy rotary position sensing
  • Common shaft drives two separate sets of sensing electronics
  • Non-contacting inductive technology eliminates wear
  • Factory calibrated to the customer specified measurement angle (max 160°)
  • Independent linearity of ≤ ±0.25% FSO at 20°C for angles up to 100°
  • Rugged stainless steel body and shaft
  • IP67 environmental sealing (IP68/69K option)
  • Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C
  • Multiple voltage and current output options available

Typical applications

  • Icon Off Highway Automotive
  • Icon Process
  • Icon Machine & Propulsion
  • Icon Crane & lifting
